PROMO TIP: I’m not getting enough reviews of my book!

The good news is: You are not alone.

Just this week, I’ve seen this question asked three times on Facebook pages, and had a friend and fellow writer ask me directly.

I HAVE RUMINATED.

Approach people straightforwardly, offering to give them a free PDF. If you have to, graciously make that a hard copy. Do not send that book internationally, however. It will cost about $100.

Give them the links to your book on Amazon, Goodreads, Barnes & Noble, and all those electron retailers that I cannot keep track of. Or choose one retailer and ask them specially to review the book there.

Make sure to stress to them that when they do post, they need to clarify in their review that they received a copy of the book in exchange for a review.

Contact ten people a day and be patient. Book reviews take a long time to build.
