Member-only story
Suddenly, Alle into dollhouse/mini-making.
I’ve never had a hobby. Instead, I DO things: tai chi and chi kung; Zen temple cooking as well as Japanese home cooking.
Now, I have a hobby! As usual with me, all roads lead back to writing. Note the (to-scale) minis, pictured. Caption is AN haiku. (Writing’s mini)
There will be times, such as the above, when I will explore the fun, the wobbly, the totally weird in the mini-world. The majority of the time, however, I will create little, bitty scenes from As Far as You Can Go Before You Have to Come Back.
The set-ups will be either backstory that emerges as I create the minis, or actual scenes from the novel, minus the characters. (I don’t do the “doll” part of “dollhouseing.”)
Expect the first tomorrow.
We will celebrate a scene from the short story, Let Me Feel For You, in honor of that peices being selected to be read (by me) at this weekend’s Montana Book Festival.
As you read Let Me Feel for You, see if you can guess which scene I will mini-make. (Hint: it’s not the one where the MC,, Carlie, takes mushrooms and has sex on the beach.)
