Angeline by Anna Quinn
Angeline by Anna Quinn (whose first novel was the beautiful and wow-ful The Night Child) has a theme close to my heart: a girl experiences a disastrous event that defines her youth; she moves (in Angeline’s case, to a rocky island in the Pacific Northwest), where she experiences a magical finding of self and community.
In May, 2023, look for Anna and I on a panel at Richard Hugo House in Seattle.
